1st Post in one year!
I have not posted any teachings since October 2024 as I have been on a refreshing one-year sabbatical with our Lord Jesus and His Word. I truly believed all things were leading up to the rapture of the True Followers of Christ in 2024, maybe I was more hopeful to leave this dark world behind and get on to our next phase of life. Well at any rate, I was wrong, not about the rapture, about the timing. Every year the Jews celebrate the Feasts of the Lord, 2024 and this October 2025 proved to be once again, wonderful dress rehearsals. Oh, I was not wrong about the rapture itself, but we must not look for the day, only to keep our hearts right before Jesus as it could be at any moment, even today!
This brings me to the yearlong conversation I have had with our Lord of which this blog will start the process of sharing. It started with questions: Lord why do You have us on the earth, and what is Your purpose for our lives today 2025? Even though the information I have is MASSIVE, I will simply start with 1 Thessalonians highlighting Chapter 4 verse 11 & 12
1 Thessalonians 4
Plea for Purity
Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God; 2 for you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus.
3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, 5 not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; 6 that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified. 7 For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. 8 Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit.
A Brotherly and Orderly Life
9 But concerning brotherly love you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another; 10 and indeed you do so toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia. But we urge you, brethren, that you increase more and more;
11 that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, 12 that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing.
The Comfort of Christ’s Coming
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
As present day Prophets stand on a “spiritual hill” if you will, they are able to see what is coming both in the natural and in the spirit. In turn the Apostles are able to digest what they see and establish a solid plan of preparation for the followers of Jesus in The Body of Christ on earth.
I have no need to explain to you what is just over the hilltop, for it is all written in the book of Revelation but rather establish a practical plan for our everyday lives as we look forward to that blessed hope of being with Jesus.
Paul’s Thessalonian letters have been branded on my heart as the foundational Truth by which all things from now to the end of this age will be built upon. Maybe you should read that again. We should not, cannot, will not be distracted by the events of the day if we start with 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12.
Let’s get started by breaking down the meaning for us – October 2025.
- that you also aspire to lead a quiet life
- to mind your own business
- and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you
- and that you may walk properly toward those who are outside
- and that you may lack nothing.
You may think this is too easy, where are the fireworks? If you don’t know me by now, I labor to not walk in sensationalism. Trust me by prayerfully considering these starting verses to be a template to lay across our lives and see if any adjustments need to be made.
Father God we are asking for discernment as we war against deception. Amen.
