After being on a refreshing one-year sabbatical with our Lord Jesus and His Word, starting the process of sharing what I have learned is a little harder than I expected. It started with questions: Lord why are we on the earth, and what is your purpose for our lives today in 2025?

Even though the information I have is MASSIVE, I have simply started with 1st Thessalonians highlighting Chapter 4 verse 11 & 12. In time, if you stay with me, we will master 1&2 Thessalonians together.

¹¹ that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, ¹² that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing.

I have not posted any teachings since October 2024 as I have been on a refreshing one-year sabbatical with our Lord Jesus and His Word. I truly believed all things were leading up to the rapture of the True Followers of Christ in 2024, maybe I was more hopeful to leave this dark world behind and get on to our next phase of life. Well at any rate, I was wrong, not about the rapture, about the timing. Every year the Jews celebrate the Feasts of the Lord, 2024 and this October 2025 proved to be once again, wonderful dress rehearsals. Oh, I was not wrong about the rapture itself, but we must not look for the day, only to keep our hearts right before Jesus as it could be at any moment, even today!

This brings me to the yearlong conversation I have had with our Lord of which this blog will start the process of sharing. It started with questions: Lord why do You have us on the earth, and what is Your purpose for our lives today 2025? Even though the information I have is MASSIVE, I will simply start with 1 Thessalonians highlighting Chapter 4 verse 11 & 12

Since Revelation is the last book of the Bible revealing all things end times, in the same way Paul establishes all things in the beginning to the Gentiles in Thessalonica. Having access to Jesus and His saving Grace for the very first time!

I am convinced that we are seeing a 2000-year cycle, if you will, and Paul’s letters to the Thessalonians are key to completing it. In a few weeks I will finish a 4-part series on a subject I have researched and practiced for over 40 years explaining this transition of what the true church is. In these 2000 years we will have come full cycle of returning to the non-religious freedom of meeting House-to-House as first mentioned in Acts 20:20 or what I call perfect vision.

Practical things in 1 Thessalonians 4:11

Let us first warm up with what this verse means to us today, how do we apply this instruction to our daily lives. Let’s get started by breaking down the meaning for us in 2025.

A Quiet Life – …that you also aspire to lead a quiet life

Aspire – Study: aim, seek ambitiously; be eagerly desirous, as for something with great or high value, yearn, make effort, endeavor, labor, with speed, eagerness, and hast.

Let’s start with the basics that would generally apply to both those who just accepted Christ in Thessalonica and us today.

A Quiet Life – a lifestyle:

• focused on simplicity and peace
• focused on eternal things: Word of God, people, prayer.
• characterized by fewer distractions, less noise
• Making deliberate choices to prioritize service over performance.

I call it “Living under the radar.” This can involve removing things from your life that cause unwanted attention or drama, living a more private life. Developing a strategy of what we post on social media?

Application: The world we live in is the same as those who were in Thessalonica. We Jesus followers are the minority, the counterculture; the world hates us. When we walk into a room the demons that reside in them are agitated with the Holy Spirit that lives in us. Therefore, we must make deliberate choices of what battles we engage in. Better to stop complaining about the government in public, causing divisions with people that we now never reach for the Gospel and simply praying for them in private. Our true battles are “flesh and blood” they are supernatural in the realm of the spirit.

Think and pray about this quiet life and any changes you and your family might want to change. More to come.

You may think this is too easy, where are the fireworks? If you don’t know me by now, I labor to not walk in sensationalism. Trust me by prayerfully considering these starting verses to be a template to lay across our lives and see if any adjustments need to be made.
