Thessalonians Paul’s first recorded writing

After being on a refreshing one-year sabbatical with our Lord Jesus and His Word, starting the process of sharing what I have learned is a little harder than I expected. It started with questions: Lord why are we on the earth, and what is your purpose for our lives today in 2025?

Even though the information I have is MASSIVE, I have simply started with 1st Thessalonians highlighting Chapter 4 verse 11 & 12. In time, if you stay with me, we will master 1&2 Thessalonians together.

First foundational truth – the quiet life.

11 that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, 12 that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing.

Second foundational truth The Rapture

Paul’s first written work recorded in the Holy Scriptures gives us the foundation truth of being “RAPTURE READY” at all times.

ALIVE AND REMAIN

…by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 1 Thessalonians 4:15

Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together. 1 Thessalonians 4:17

Alive – Those that are spiritually alive, spiritually active and vibrant, meaning there are some who are not vibrant.

Remain – those who complete the course, pass through the hard circumstances, those who are destitute yet survive. Like a remnant of a garment, a little tiny piece, a remnant at the end of the age.

Let us briefly look at Four Mysteries that Paul reveals:

1. Mystery of Lawlessness

2 Thessalonians 2:5, 2 Thessalonians 2:3

2. Mystery of the Rapture

1 Corinthians 15:51

3. Mystery of the Gospel of Paul

Ephesians 6:19, Colossians 6:26-27

4. Mystery of The Bride of Christ

Today I would like to introduce the bullseye of the first Rapture. Those that are Alive and Remain. What does that even look like?

Do you realize there is no phrase in the Bible that says Bride of Christ, perhaps this is the mystery itself. If we focus on who we are as The engaged Bride of Christ then we will hit the target, the very center of our Lord’s heart!

Could this be you? Choose to be chosen.

The Bride of Christ is…

  • Real people.
  • Gentiles not Jews, not composed of Old Testament Saints.
  • In love with Jesus, the Son of our Living God.
  • The ones that have submitted to the cleansing & purifying of His Word.
  • Not the whole Church but a called-out body, from a called-out body.
  • Many are called but she will be chosen from the called by a set of virtues.
  • The 100-fold; not the 60-fold or 30-fold chosen from the same ground or field.
  • Prepared for the rapture event that starts the Wedding Feast.
  • Will be caught away in the rapture event.
  • The rapture of the Bride is the first fruits offering of the barley harvest.
  • John’s vision of the 24 elders with crowns (not the multitude) Revelation 4.
  • The ones that say: “Come.” Revelation 22:17.

The Bride identified by 5 crowns or rewards for her earthly service:

  • Victor’s Crown: overcoming the desires of the flesh 1Corinthians 9:25.
  • Rejoicing Crown or Soul Winners Crown Philippians 4:1, 1 Thessalonians 2:19
  • Crown of Righteousness or Watchers Crown 2 Timothy 4:8
  • Crown of Life: remaining faithful in persecution James 1:12, Revelation 2:10
  • Crown of Glory: leading those in your influence with a righteous example 1 Peter 5:1-4

The one true motive behind all of our service is NOT because we are trying to work for our salvation rather that we are so crazy in love with our Lord Jesus, thankful for his: life, death & resurrection, living in full faith that He is preparing a place for us and that He will soon pierce the sky and say: “Come up here!

If you realize you are not in this company of The Bride of Christ, make yourself ready…choose to be chosen!

Open your Bible and read 1 Corinthians chapter 15 and then with all of your heart say: “Jesus I believe what I just read, save me!”

We must mix all of the scriptures with faith, or they remain as just words on a page. Over 50 years ago I was introduced to Jesus; the very one who wants to have an eternal relationship with me and with you!

We can be those who are ALIVE AND REMAIN when Jesus comes for us!

Therefore comfort one another with these words. 1Thessaloians 4:18

Please read 1 & 2 Thessalonians for next week as Lord willing, we will go line upon line to finish these two short letters to end this year of 2025.

Father God we are asking for discernment as we war against deception. Amen.
