Interlude to Chapter Five – “ology” the study of…

– Theology is a rational study of the existence of our Divine God and how to apply what you have discovered to your natural and spiritual life.

– Eschatology (“eschat” means last and “ology” means study of) is a rational study of the final events in history for mankind and the world according to our Divine God.

– The Bible is the oldest; most tested and trusted manuscript in the world. The Bible is the number one validated text not only documenting the history of our world and mankind but also revealing the future or final days and events of mankind and this world.

We understand how history works; it was eye witnessed, verbally handed down, then written down and miraculously preserved (see Dead Sea scrolls) but how does the Bible reveal the future? It is called Prophecy.

• Prophecy – The Bible not only gave us the best record our history but also of God giving over 1000 visions of future events to men in history (both in the Old Testament and New Testament) and over 500 of the visions have been fulfilled just as they were written. Most of these visions have been fulfilled a thousand years after they were written down. The remaining unfulfilled future events is what we are studying today. “Eschatology” the study of the visions that we are still waiting to be fulfilled. These visions refer to the last of mankind’s events on the earth.

– Archaeology is the scientific study of material remains (such as tools, pottery, jewelry, stone walls, and monuments) of past human life activities and culture. Archaeology has been the primary proof of the Bible concerning history both for natural things and spiritual things.

INTRODUCTION TO CHAPTER #5

It has been a few weeks since my last post of writing the Book Revelation the Final Separation, so let’s use this introduction to warm us back up to Prophecy. I present nine Specific Keys to understanding prophecy in Chapter #5 that I will expound on in my next blog post. So for today I want to focus on Key #9.

9.  Key of Divine Order – Do not Dislocate Scriptural Events in the book of Revelation

This key was a life changer for my own personal life and allowed ALL of the events in the Book of Revelation to fall into absolute perfect order for me!

SEE IF YOU CAN RELATE TO THE FOLLOWING.

When I first started studying the Book of Revelation, I tried to just grasp the few symbols, people, and figures that I already knew. I had no idea the events were in a perfect divine order. The easiest illustration of my journey I can reveal here starts with Revelation 1:19

Write the things which you have seen [things in John’s past], and the things which are [John is on the prisoner island of Patmos getting this revelation], and the things which will take place after this [things in the near future]. Do you see the order? Well I sure did not. Based on my limited understanding I pulled everything out of order. Therefor the first part of this key is just: keep the events in the Book of Revelation in the order they are presented in the book.

PRACTICE EXAMPLE: Let’s interpret Revelation Chapter 12.

Question: Who are the woman and the man child in Revelation chapter 12?

V1 “Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. 2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth. 3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. 4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. 5 She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. 6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.”

With the limited understanding I had at the time, I thought surely the woman had to be Mary the mother of Jesus and the child was Jesus who in this passage was caught up, or raptured to God and His throne.

Again, in my thinking I used the first verse in Revelation 1:19 I thought this was John writing of things in his past. Although I had no idea of what the garland of twelve stars on her head meant let alone what being feed for 1260 days had to do with anything. I will be going chapter by chapter through the whole Book of Revelation but to understand this key, let us interpret it in the order it was written!

Bible Guy Break down of Revelation 12:1-6

The second part of this key: God deals primarily with the Gentiles believers in the first seven chapters of Revelation and deals primarily with the Jews and the Nation of Israel in the rest of the Book of Revelation.

Chapter 12 is almost half way through the book and is past chapter 7, so we are basically done with the Gentiles so this is about the Jews and Israel.

– The woman is NOT Mary the mother of Jesus but a type of Jacob/Israel’s wife in Joseph’s dream Genesis 37:9-11. The woman is “National Israel” as a whole, thus crowned with the twelve stars on her head or the twelve tribes of Israel.

– The man child is the 144,000 Jews; (Revelation 12:5 who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron) 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes or twelve stars on the woman’s head. These are a group of people who were birthed (or came out of) the woman or “National Israel”.

*NOTE – The woman “National Israel” is NOT following Jesus at this time, Israel is not a Christian Nation but it gave birth (or produced) 144,000 Born Again Jesus following Jews that are true and faithful to Jesus the Messiah King.

– Timeline Mid-Tribulation 3&1/2 years or 1260 days

The order of the timeline is 3 & ½ years into the tribulation when the Anti-Christ (the Dragon) makes sacrifice in the temple and will call himself God. The 144,000 reveal themselves by denouncing the Anti-Christ and proclaiming their allegiance to Jesus the true Messiah King. The Anti-Christ (Dragon) is set and waiting to devour (kill) the man child (144,000) but In Revelation 12:5 we see this Jewish Rapture take place. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne…! We will see these 144,000 again in Revelation 19:11-15 as they return with Jesus to rule on earth for 1000 years just as foretold in v4: “…male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron.”

Next the woman: 6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.” Again this woman is National Israel, and in this case a remnant government (still not following Jesus) will seemingly take all of their official governmental documents; proof of tribes etc. and hide in a place of protection for the remaining 3&1/2 years of the Tribulation.
