Every treasure hunter needs to have not the best tools, rather the basic tools. In the case of understanding the mysteries in the Bible a computer would be great but not necessary. The basic tools are the Bible itself, a relationship with Jesus of whom the Bible is written and understanding that the Holy Spirit WANTS YOU TO UNDERSTAND the Bible. Therefore, let us pull up a chair at The Captain’s table as He unfolds the mysteries!

DISCLAIMER – even though some of the keys are similar to other prophecy discernment,in this chapter I am referring to understanding and unlocking WRITTEN PROPHECY that was recorded early in the scriptures and then later fulfilled. I am NOT explaining the New Testament gift of the Holy Spirit called a gift of prophecy nor am I explaining the New Testament Ministry Office of a prophet.

9.  Key of Divine Order – Do not Dislocate Scriptural Events in the book of Revelation

This key was a life changer for my own personal life and allowed ALL of the events in the Book of Revelation fall into absolute perfect order!

When I first started studying the Book of Revelation, I tried to just grasp the few symbols, people, and figures that I already knew. I had no idea the events were in a perfect divine order. The easiest illustration of my journey I can reveal here starts with Revelation 1:19

Write the things which you have seen [things in John’s past], and the things which are [John is on the prisoner island of Patmos getting this revelation], and the things which will take place after this [things in the near future]. Do you see the order? Well I sure did not. Based on my limited understanding I pulled everything out of order. Therefor the first part of this key is to keep the events in the Book of Revelation in the order they are presented in the book.

PRACTICE EXAMPLE Question.  In Revelation chapter 12Who are:

• The Woman
• The Man Child
• The Red Dragon

V1 “Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. 2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth. 3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. 4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. 5 She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. 6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.” 7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”

With the limited understanding I had at the time, I thought surely the woman was Mary the mother of Jesus and the child was Jesus who in this passage was caught up, or raptured to God and His throne.

Again, thinking of my first verse in Revelation 1:19 this was John writing of things in his past. Although I had no idea of what the garland of twelve stars on her head meant let alone what being feed for 1260 days had to do with anything. I will be going chapter by chapter through the whole Book of Revelation but to understand this key, let us interpret it in the order it was written!

Bible Guy Break down of Revelation 12:1-6 (Again, refer to you time-line)

The second part of this key: God deals primarily with the Gentiles believers in the first seven chapters of Revelation and primarily with the Jews in the rest of the Book of Revelation.

Chapter 12 is almost half way through the book and is past chapter 7, so we are basically done with the Gentiles so this is about the Jews and Israel.

• The woman is a type of Jaccob/Israel’s wife in Joseph’s dream Genesis 37:9. The woman is also a group of people; she is National Israel as a whole.
• The man child is also a group of people; the 144,000 Jews in Revelation chapter 7, 12,000 from each tribe that are true and faithful followers of Jesus the Messiah King. The order of the timeline is 3 & ½ years into the tribulation when the Anti-Christ makes sacrifice in the temple and will call himself God. The 144,000 reveal themselves by denouncing the Red Dragon and proclaiming their allegiance to Jesus the true Messiah King, in verse 5 And her Child was caught up to God and His throne which is another rapture! The Jewish First Fruit Wheat Harvest!
• The Red Dragon is the Anti-Christ; a being not just demon possessed but possessed by Satan himself. Ezekiel 28: 14-16 records the casting out of Satan and one third of all angels out of the third heaven to the second heaven thus ruling the first heaven earth. Jesus also refers to this in Luke 10:18. These verses are not describing this fall (remember perfect order). This fall records Satan and his demons being cast down from second heaven to first heaven earth itself.
