Jesus Followers – Navigating the Year 2024
First things first – Because we have declared Jesus as: Savior, King and Lord of our lives, our identity is in Him and no other. First and foremost we must understand our identity. We are in Christ!
This is the most exciting time to be alive and experience the Truth of God on every hand. Every night when we go to bed, we pray: Lord, this would be a great time for you to call us all home. Then each morning when God wakes us we praise God for another day on this earth and ask if we can be of service in His Kingdom on Earth today.
“Lord Jesus, guide us by your Holy Spirit, thank you for equipping us to see needs of others and thank you for the provisions to meet those needs. We are your body on earth; we are your feet to go, your hands to touch and your voice to speak and pray! We are honored to be your witnesses of faith, hope and love to a sick and dying world, Amen.”
We must know our identity in Jesus if we are to be of any use in the Kingdom of God on Earth today.
In this hour each of us needs to learn to refresh and strengthen ourselves, we can’t count on anyone else. We have to put in the work and stop being babies; deceived by every wind of doctrines of men. GET SOME DISCIPLINE IN YOUR LIFE! If therefore you are in Christ then walk like it!
ACTION – This is an easy start:
- Open your own paper Bible, take a marking pen and underline or highlight the following 15 verses in Ephesians.
- Ask the Holy Spirit what these verses mean specifically for you, nobody else; YOU!
- Memorize the top three verses that really speak to you.
- Share this blog with another Jesus Follower.
A TRIP THROUGH EPHESIANS!
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus:
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,
which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel,
and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ;
according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord,
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ
