Beginning the Journey

WEEK 5 DAY 4 – Discipleship Course – ENTERING THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Memory Verses:

2 Corinthians 10:3-4 … For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds…

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

GROW IN GOD’S WORD – Go Deeper in God’s Word

Thought #1 – Today we are in a war on Truth and we need God’s Word to live our lives!

Verses – 2 Timothy 3:14-17 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Thought #2 – Guidelines and cautions for study

  • Use your study tools
  • New King James Note taking Bible
  • Notebook for notes and journaling
  • Strong’s Concordance to look up any word.

Side Note Cautions: if the notes in any Bible tell you that this verse no longer applies: stop, discern, say no and move on. If notes come up with religious rules of “performance”, or formulas (step 1,2,3,) stop, discern, say no and move on. Most side notes are just man’s ideas out of his own thinking: stop, discern, say no and move on.

Good side notes: Notes that explain; history, customs of the day, explanation of Jewish feast and times, these are very valuable.

I am a lover of Truth, a born again disciple and Ambassador of Jesus who is: The Son of our Living God, Savior of all mankind, resurrected from the dead, seated at the right hand of God and Head of The Called out ones. I am called to preach the love and acceptance to all mankind and reconcile them to God before the door of Grace and Mercy shuts at the end of this age.
