KINGDOM SCRIPTURES Week 1

May this be our Vision for 2024!

Week One-Kingdom verses to Highlight!

Starting Jan 1, 2024 would you join me every day in highlighting our Bibles with every Kingdom verse we can find! I personally am using the color purple for Royalty. Can you imagine having over 360 verses marked in your Bible by the end of the year?!

QUESTION:

If I asked you how many red cars you saw today, how many would you say you saw? “Well, maybe two maybe three. But if I told you that I would give you $50 for every red car that you personally took a picture of, how many red cars do you think you would spot? The point is that if you are not looking (and I mean like a treasure hunter) you will not see, let alone find. So let’s LOOK!

Let’s do the same with this exercise; marking kingdom scriptures and before long, we will understand that The Kingdom of God is the one main foundational thread by which the entire Bible stands on.

ACTION – Mark these entire verses.

1. ”…it has been given unto you to know the mystery of the Kingdom of God.” (Mark 4:11)

“… it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 13:11)

“…it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God.” (Luke 8:10)

2.But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33)

The Foundational “thread” that weaves the entire Bible together IS the Kingdom.

– In Genesis the Kingdom was lost by Adam but God gave a prophecy of Jesus crushing Satan’s head and retrieving the Kingdom at a later date.

– The rest of the Old Testament is all about Kingdom struggles, establishing the Nation of Israel and the process of getting Jesus in place to crush Satan’s head and finally become King over God’s reestablished Kingdom on earth.

3. 1Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” (Mark 1:14-15)

– Matthew, Mark, Luke & John tell of Jesus now in place, but the very Jewish Nation of Israel that God developed to secure His Kingdom rejected Jesus as their king. For the next 2000 years, instead of Jesus physically ruling the Kingdom from Jerusalem, He rules in the hearts and lives of all those that accept Him as King by faith, which includes Gentiles!

4. 20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:20-21)

The majority of the rest of the New Testament reveals how The Kingdom of God within us, with Jesus as our King, plays out in everyday life; preaching The Kingdom and making disciples.

5. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.”  (Matthew 6:10)

6. “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” (John 18:36)

Finally the book of Revelation pulls-on-that-one-string-that-weaves-the-entire-Bible-together: From Genesis to Revelation.

7. “Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” (Revelation 19:11-16)

LET US START MARKING OUR BIBLES!

This is so important, I have written an entire book on the subject! (click the pic for information).
