Beginning the Journey

WEEK 5 DAY 2 – Discipleship Course – ENTERING THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Memory Verses:

2 Corinthians 10:3-4 … For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds…

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

GROW IN GOD’S WORD – So many books called the Bible

Thought #1 – Get a physical book, the electronic apps will cause big distractions.

The Old Testament was primarily written in the language of Hebrew and the New Testament primarily in Greek.

Thought #2 – Bible Translations are just that – translated from the Hebrew and Greek.

Bible Paraphrases – like the message, stay away from them, just a lot of man-made ideas.

I prefer the New King James Version, called Note taking Bible because of the large side margins for taking notes.

Thought #2 – In your study group, I do recommend you all use the same translation.

Published by The Bible Guy

I am a lover of Truth, a born again disciple and Ambassador of Jesus who is: The Son of our Living God, Savior of all mankind, resurrected from the dead, seated at the right hand of God and Head of The Called out ones. I am called to preach the love and acceptance to all mankind and reconcile them to God before the door of Grace and Mercy shuts at the end of this age.
