WEEK 1 DAY 1 – Discipleship Course – ENTERING THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Memory Verse:

1 John 5:11-12 NKJV

11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

INTRODUCTION – WELCOME – Order Booklet

Using this Discipleship course:

By yourself – Pray that God would help you to understand: Him better, Jesus better and His word better! Do one lesson a day for 5 days. Listen to the video clip, read the notes, answer the questions in the booklet, and think about what you have learned throughout your day. Try to memorize you verse for the week!

With a friend – Do the same but meet with each other for an hour after each week. There are some helps for meeting together in the back of your booklet.

When you are done – Look for someone you can take through this course!

Good News #1 – When you accepted Jesus as your Savior from sin, He has also given you eternal life with Him. You will live with Him and those who have made the same decision forever. The good news is that even though you will take your last breath on this earth to enter heaven, you don’t have to wait until you get to heaven to enjoy eternal life, you have it right now.

Good News #2 – When you declared with your mouth Jesus is not just your Savior but also your Lord and King, you have just entered The Kingdom of God on Earth and Jesus is your King NOW!

Conflict– At the same time you entered the Kingdom of God you exited the Kingdom of Darkness. Satan and his demons hate your decision to be free, and will try everything to get you back.

Good News #3 – Your first weapon, you have already used; the name of Jesus. If you ever feel scared or tempted use your one word prayer: “JESUS” The enemy hates that name and will scatter. The second weapon is what we are highlighting today; it is The Written Word of God, which is Truth. Practice your memory verse for this week, when temptation comes your way (and it will) Just quote the verse from memory OUTLOUD! You will have the victory.
