Beginning the Journey

WEEK 1 DAY 2 – Discipleship Course – ENTERING THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Memory Verse:

1 John 5:11-12 NKJV

11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

GOD AND MAN: A Broken Relationship – SIN SEPARATES

Thought #1 – Sin separates.Sin means; you missed the mark. God has set a path for your Journey to live with Him forever, and when you make a decision to veer off that path you have missed the blessing He was intending for you to have on that part of your journey. When you sinned, you made a turn and it separates you from God. Like a dart game, you went the wrong direction and missed the mark. When you realize what you have done; stop, ask Jesus to forgive you, change your thinking, turn around and get back on the path. Because you have an enemy who is constantly trying to deceive you, this process of repentance will become a powerful weapon.

Thought #2 – When we sin and make a decision to “go off course” it is usually because we are not accustom to having a King guiding our lives. We have to practice and acknowledge that Jesus sits on the throne of our lives now and that He is King. Good News? He is a good King!

Practice your memory verse for this week, when temptation comes your way (and it will) Just quote the verse from memory OUTLOUD! You will have the victory.
