WEEK 4 DAY 4– Discipleship Course – ENTERING THE KINGDOM OF GOD
Memory Verse:
John 16:24
… Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
FOLLOW JESUS AS LORD – Who is the master? Who is the servant?
Thought #1 – Notice the change in our prayer life, as we transition from asking for things to asking Jesus; “Lord what would you have me pray?”
Verse – 1 Samuel 3:10 … Samuel answered, “Speak, for Your servant hears.
Thought #2 – Non-Christ followers usually approach the spiritual world through the idea of needing a go-between like a medium, spiritist, guru or priest and through rituals or sacrifices, these “holy men” will help manipulate the spiritual beings to get what they want. Not unlike letters to Santa Clause.
Thought #3 – When Jesus is master and we are servant our job becomes listeners. This removes all the pressure of performance. We go to our listening room, reading our Bible and hearing God’s voice and confirming His Word with other believers in our small group.
