Mountain Top to Mountain Top Prophecy

Remember our Key in Chapter 5 about prophetic mountain views. The best illustration I have seen are the prophets of old looking forward into the future and all they see are a series of mountain tops. These mountain tops are all about the journey of Israel and God’s Kingdom.

The prophets were given the gift to see the major future events of Israel revealed by each mountain top, this was their “perspective” if you will. The question is what does the prophet NOT SEE?

The prophets did not see the valleys, or the events not related to the Jews, Israel or The restored Kingdom of God. The prophets did NOT SEE or SPEAK TO the Gentiles about any of their activity unless it was to inform a Gentile to do something that would affect Israel or the Jews. As we take a look at the mountain tops that Daniel saw in the first 69 weeks the of 70 week vision up to Christ being crucified this may seem like review. The Goal is to introduce us to Paul who reveals the Gentile time line in the valley! These 69 weeks are divided into the first seven weeks (49 years) and then sixty-two weeks (434 years).

Daniel’s Seventy Week Vision – follow your time line.

From Babylon Daniel sees:

Daniel 9:25

• From command to restore and build Jerusalem including  the street and wall even in troubled times – 7 Weeks (or 49 years)

Daniel 9:26

• And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off (Jesus crucified 40 AD) but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come (Rome) Shall destroy the city (Jerusalem 70 AD) and the sanctuary.

(Verse 26 AND 27 split by 2000 years).

Daniel 9:27

• Then he (Anti-Christ) shall confirm a covenant with (Israel) and many (ten nation confederacy – the ten toes) for one week.
• In the middle of the week (or 3&1/2 years) He (Anti-Christ) will end sacrifice and offering as the Anti-Christ announces himself as god (abomination of desolation).

Paul the Apostle to the Gentiles

• For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentiles… Romans 11:13
• But on the contrary, when they saw that the gospel for the uncircumcised had been committed to me, as the gospel for the circumcised was to Peter ⁸ (for He who worked effectively in Peter for the apostleship to the circumcised also worked effectively in me toward the Gentiles), ⁹ and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that had been given to me, they gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised. Galatians 2:7-9
• …but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, ¹¹ to which I was appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. 2 Timothy 1:10-11

This is the revelation of Paul concerning what the prophets did not see in the valley about the Gentiles.

1. The Gentiles should be fellow heirs.

For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles— ² if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you, ³ how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, ⁴ by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), ⁵ which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets: ⁶ that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel, ⁷ of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power. Ephesians 3:1-7

2. Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name.

Then all the multitude kept silent and listened to Barnabas and Paul declaring how many miracles and wonders God had worked through them among the Gentiles. ¹³ And after they had become silent, James answered, saying, “Men and brethren, listen to me: ¹⁴ Simon has declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name. Acts 15:12-15

3. Resurrection of the Gentiles.

But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. ¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. ¹⁶ For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. ¹⁷ Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. ¹⁸ Therefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:2-17

DANIEL’S VISION PICKS UP ON THE NEXT MOUNTAIN TOP 2000 YEARS LATER

Then he (Antichrist) shall confirm a covenant with many (many nations and Israel) for one week (the last week or the 70^th week). Daniel 9:27

The 2000 year valley of the Gentiles between the ascension of Jesus and the revealing of the Anti-Christ; with the prophet Daniel it was only one thought, one breath, one sigh. In Daniel’s seeing; it is given only one verse. (Daniel 9:26 to Daniel 9:27). Why? Daniel is only seeing the mountain tops concerning Israel! In Daniel’s vision of the “70 Weeks” it was not revealed to him that God was going to add 2000 Gentile years between the 69^th week and the 70^th week because of Israel rejecting Christ, their Messiah and King. And yet here we are, able at the end of those 2000 years to see clearly what was in the valley!

Side Note* Did God stop the prophetic clock or did He “add” time?

I had thought up to the writing of this book that the prophetic clock just stop, to be started at a later date, but not so, time does not stop here. My question became: was there any other reference of God “adding time” because of disobedience or rebellion? Yes, when God freed His people from the Pharo of Egypt. After they sent twelve men in to spy out the enemies land, ten came back lacking faith presenting a bad report that swayed the people with doubt and unbelief. Because of this unbelief…

And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, ²⁷ “How long shall I bear with this evil congregation who complain against Me? I have heard the complaints which the children of Israel make against Me. ²⁸ Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you: ²⁹ The carcasses of you who have complained against Me shall fall in this wilderness, all of you who were numbered, according to your entire number, from twenty years old and above. ³⁰ Except for Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun, you shall by no means enter the land which I swore I would make you dwell in. ³¹ But your little ones, whom you said would be victims, I will bring in, and they shall know the land which you have despised. ³² But as for you, your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness. ³³ And your sons shall be shepherds in the wilderness forty years, and bear the brunt of your infidelity, until your carcasses are consumed in the wilderness. ³⁴ According to the number of the days in which you spied out the land, forty days, for each day you shall bear your guilt one year, namely forty years, and you shall know My rejection. ³⁵ I the Lord have spoken this. I will surely do so to all this evil congregation who are gathered together against Me. In this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.’ Numbers 14:26-35

God added one year for each day of their disobedience.

The Bible reveals to us what was happening to the Gentiles for 2000 years, they were receiving the invisible Kingdom of God in their hearts and preached the “Good News” around the world but what did the Jews do for those 2000 years? Well l can tell you they did not just wander around the world and do nothing.

During these 2000 years even though the Jews had their Nation taken from them;

• They maintained the hope of promise of the covenant God made with Abraham,
• They maintained their culture by following the law of separation and did not (on the whole) intermarry with Gentiles.
• For 2000 years they maintained God’s Law and Calendar
• Acquired much wealth and knowledge.

The miracle is that the only way God could mark the 144,000 in Revelation Chapter seven and then rapture 12,000 from every tribe, in Revelation 12:5 is if  they kept themselves “kosher”. They knew their tribes. The Jews miraculously maintained their Israeli citizenship within their hearts and practice. After about 2000 years of “wandering” in 1948 it happened, Israel became a nation again.

So what is left? There are no other prophecies that need to be fulfilled for the rapture of the Bride of Christ to take place, this event is imminent! We are coming out of the valley separating the end of the 69^th Week and the beginning of the 70^th week. After the rapture of the Bride, the Anti-Christ will be revealed and the 70^th week will unfold in real time.
