Miracle of finding a 100 year old Timeline!

What would the odds be that I would acquire one, of less than 50 hardback books privately printed over 100 years ago? That means no publisher, no copyright, no ISBN, no library catalog number for the Dewey Decimal System. Then increase those odds by finding a hundred year old Timeline hand drawn on a parchment paper that was neatly tucked into the back cover. Not attached, tucked in. The Timeline had the date 1921.

Now here is the catch; I entered this book into my library but didn’t read it right away. In four years I actually moved into two different houses; packed and unpacked my books twice and still hadn’t read THE FIRST AND THE LAST. I did not get around to opening the book until 2009 and to my amazement; I discovered a folded parchment that fell out of the back cover. I carefully unfolded the parchment and discovered a Kingdom Prophecy Timeline that aided in the study of the book. The Timeline was dated 1921 with a fixed copy right stating that it was drawn by the same Ira Edwin Surface; author of the book.

Who is this Author Ira Surface?

Born 5.23.1860 – Died 3.30.1944 this book and timeline were developed from 1918-1920 while he ministered at the Glad Tidings Bible Training School San Francisco, California.

Wanting to ask a few questions about Mr. Surface, I called the Institution listed in the front pages of his book, plus I did an Assembly of God Ministers search with a friend of mine who works in their office, finishing with an internet search. I found two grandsons and told them about the book and timeline plus my vision to republish it. They were thrilled to have news about their relative and gave me the publishing rights for both the book and the Timeline!

Research with no computer

Diving into the depths of this man’s great revelations, especially chapter 12 of his book, I had to remind myself this was written in 1919: before Israel became a nation in 1948, before any Bible software was loaded on a computer, before the regurgitation of diluted and altered internet information. This is an original, and so is The Timeline.

It is obvious that Ira Surface was a man of passion toward our Lord Jesus and a man of great conviction of not allowing Satan to divide the Body of Christ over God’s very Word. For me personally Ira Surface became a mentor, cheering this treasure hunter on to the finish line!

I am sharing this great work because with Ira Surface’s insights in 1919 and with even more revelation being illuminated in this this year of 2024; followers of Jesus need to prepare for the next major prophetic event, the catching away of The Bride of Christ. I look forward to meeting Ira Surface in that blessed moment as the dead in Christ will rise first and the rest of us who remain will be caught up with Jesus in His Presence.

Two Years in the Making

THE FIRST AND THE LAST book was republished In July 2020 as my wife Sandy Spencer finished the wonderful job of retyping the entire book in its original form, plus we finally found a printing company that reprinted the two foot long timeline. Now, in January 2024 I have humbly taken on the task of writing the book: REVELATION THE FINAL SEPARATION which follows Ira Surface’s book and timeline including the additional revelation developments in The Word of God Which I have listed in the INTRODUCTION – “Why write another book of Revelation”, on the following page.
