COMMUNICATIONS IN THE 60’S
When I was four years old every time we picked up the telephone an operator would answer and say: “Number please.” We would give the number of the person we wanted to talk to and the operator would connect us to the other person. Almost every afternoon I would sneak into the kitchen and pick up the receiver and the operator would say “Number please” and I would say: “Hi” and she would ask: “Is this Tommy?” and we would talk. For this little boy, this was amazing. Every time I picked up she was there to talk. EVERY TIME INSTANTLY CONNECTED!
Every time you say the Name of Jesus, you open a door. This door leads to the throne room of the One True God and you might have found an obstacle, you are not in conversation with just anyone, you are in conversation with The Holy God of all that is. You might be so startled and tempted to hang up, but don’t! Stay connected! It may seem really different, as you may have never experienced Holiness before. It is not common, it feels different and you may even feel like you don’t have the right to be there, talking to The Holy God. FEELING UNWORTHY

I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. 2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!” 4 And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts.”
Isaiah 6:1-5
Isaiah 6:6 describes how God cleansed Isaiah of his unholiness or sin, so he could communicate with God.
I WOULD BE HONORED TO TAKE YOU THROUGH THIS STEP
The Name Jesus is the key that unlocks the door, Jesus is also the door itself, and Jesus is the only Way through the door. You like the prophet Isaiah may not “feel” so holy or worthy to even enter and you are NOT. Let’s continue to keep this simple. The very fact that you don’t feel worthy tells me that you already know something; you are unclean, unrighteous (not right with God) and certainly not holy. The Bible simply calls it missing the mark or missing the perfect life that God has planned for you, which is the definition of sin. Sin is just missing the mark.
You like me and everyone who enters in prayer must enter on God’s terms. His terms are FOR US to be Holy and Perfect for He is a Holy God. We need help here! Jesus is the answer. Holy Jesus made a sacrifice for all of us by dying FOR US or in our place, and then resurrecting from the dead, when we accept this personally; like receiving a gift for that is what it is, God says we are then cleansed and holy and may enter.
Did you get that? We are now worthy because of what Jesus did FOR US!
We have already used the one word prayer Jesus…we are already standing in the door…so ENTER ALREADY!
Father God
- Please forgive me for my sin
- I accept the cleansing sacrifice of Jesus
- Through this prayer I enter Your Throne Room by faith
- Today, right now, I am worthy because of Jesus
- Thankyou Jesus for MAKING me worthy
