Beginning the Journey

WEEK 4 DAY 1 – Discipleship Course – ENTERING THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Memory Verse:

John 16:24

… Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

FOLLOW JESUS AS LORD – Confess Jesus as Lord

Thought #1 – What is your picture of a kingdom?

When Jesus came preaching the good news of The Kingdom of God, the people of the day already knew what a bad kingdom was, they were living in it. Reading from my book The Kingdom of God on Earth through the Eyes of Mark’s Gospel

Thought #2 – Father God has so many wonderful gifts for you that I hate it when those walking in deception or only partial truth don’t offer all that is available. Some of you have prayed a prayer accepting forgiveness of your sin and eternal from Jesus and He truly has become your Savior, but He is much, much more! He wants to be your King and Lord. He wants to share The Amazing Kingdom of God with you. He can’t do that if you are still king of your own life. Do you understand?

Thought #3 – Let us look at Romans 10:9-10 with this new understanding.

Verse – Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Questions – Do you believe in your heat that God raised Jesus from the dead? Yes! Have you outwardly confessed with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord, your King?

Action – When you confess with your mouth, this is what takes place: you are renouncing your allegiance to Satan and his kingdom of darkness of which you have been a prisoner since you were born (you were born in his kingdom with a “sin nature” it was your nature to sin or miss God’s mark), that was natural for you. King Jesus not only paid your ransom giving you eternal life but became the “door” into His Kingdom of Light. Now we live on kingdom and enter another. This declaration of freedom is also a declaration of war.

Have you told anyone about your decision to follow Jesus as your King? He is waiting for you to share this good news!

I am called to preach the love and acceptance to all mankind and reconcile them to God before the door of Grace and Mercy shuts at the end of this age.
