Beginning the Journey

WEEK 3 DAY 1 – Discipleship Course – ENTERING THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Memory Verse:

Romans 10:9-10 NKJV

…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

RECEIVE CHRIST’S FREEDOM – DO YOU KNOW YOUR SINS HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN?

Thought #1 – Do you know your sins have been forgiven? We are in a war of Satan and his demons of the kingdom of darkness trying to tempt you back in! Old ways, old values we used in the old kingdom of darkness don’t work anymore since you went through “customs” into the Kingdom of Light.

Thought #2 – How does repentance work? This is a Bible Guy Breakdown of repentance with confession. Acts 26:20 … declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles (that is you and me), that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance.

Remember we have learned that sin is missing the mark. God gave us this “window of escape” to quickly clear sin out of our lives on a daily basis if necessary, this is a gift!

  • Repent – Change the way you think, change your mind, and renew your mind: Replace worldly ideas and values for what God says about the matter in His Word.
  • Turn to God – the picture is that you took an off-ramp and are traveling AWAY from God. Turn to God, turn around, do a U-Turn and face God. Ask Him to forgive you and cleanse you from all that does not please Him. Receive His forgiveness and thank Him for it. Rebuke Satan’s temptation that got you distracted in the first place.
  • Works befitting repentance – let the “fruit” ornew value show. If you are being set free from lying, then start telling the truth!

Hear is a prayer:

  • Father God, thank you for convicting me by Your Holy Spirit, I have sinned (name it) I don’t want to go down this path any longer, please forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I now receive your forgiveness and Your great love, thank You.
  • Satan, I rebuke you and your unclean spirit that has tempted me, I beak your assignment off my life in Jesus Name.
  • Father God, I pray what King David prayed in his sin…Replace in me a pure heart and a right spirit, thank you again, Amen.
